Join the Broward Republican Executive Committee

There are three forms required to join the Broward Republican Executive Committee. There is no cost to join.

The first form is the BREC application…just fill it out as indicated.   You can locate the form by clicking here —> BREC application

The second form is the Republican Party of Florida (“RPOF”) loyalty oath.  You can bring that to a meeting or fill it out as indicated. The form is located here —> RPOF loyalty oath

The final third form is the candidate oath, which is a formality.  Every precinct leader technically is a candidate, though there is room enough in virtually all areas of the county so that there is rarely an actual contest.  The form must be notarized and we have a notary at our meetings.  The form is located here —> Candidate Oath.

If you have any questions about these forms, please email or contact me at (954) 298-9121.

Richard DeNapoli, Esq.

Broward Republican State Committeeman

The excerpt above is related to the email I sent out to Broward Republicans below….

Dear Broward Republican Voters:
Hello, my name is Richard DeNapoli, your Broward Republican State Committeeman.
This is your special invitation to become a member of the Broward Republican Executive Committee.
What is the Broward Republican Executive Committee?
The Broward Republican Executive Committee (also known as the BREC) is the governing body of the Republican Party of Broward County.
The Republican Party of Broward County is committed to promoting Republican ideals and principles; recruiting and electing qualified candidates for public office; developing a grassroots organization that will motivate the electorate to vote; and raise the
funds necessary to complete these objectives.
As a member of the Broward Republican Executive Committee, you will represent the registered Republicans who live in your precinct. You serve as the Party’s leader and liaison to those Republicans in that particular part of the county.
Your average Republican voter knows about the Republican National Committee (RNC) and some may even know about the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF), but many of the more than 250,000 registered Republicans in Broward do not realize there is a local Republican Executive Committee that they can be a part of and support.
The BREC plays an important role in the grassroots effort of the Party and the overall team effort to get Republicans elected in Broward County. You, as a future member of the REC, along with all the other REC members, are the basis for our grassroots organization. The Party relies on you to help turn out the vote. We will give you the resources to maintain contact with the Republicans living in your precinct to keep them informed as to what is going on in the Republican Party.
The REC members also elect the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer of the local Party. Members of the REC also vote on motions at the meetings to set policies for the local party.
The success of the Republican Party of Broward County depends on you!If you are interested in becoming a member of the Broward Republican Executive Committee, please reply to this email or contact me at (954) 298-9121 and I can get you the forms you need to start the membership process.  You can also click here for instructions.
REC meetings are usually held on the last Monday of the month, so if you can’t make this one please join us at another.  There is always a guest sign in table – just tell them that I sent you and I hope to see you at the meeting.
All the best,
Richard DeNapoli, Esq.

Richard DeNapoli Earns Early Endorsements from Rep. Ray Pilon and George Moraitis

RICHARD DENAPOLI EARNS EARLY ENDORSEMENTS

Richard DeNapoli

FROM REPS. PILON & MORAITIS

House Members think DeNapoli best suited to solve Florida’s problems

Nokomis, FL – Today, businessman and Republican Party stalwart, Richard DeNapoli, earned the primary endorsements of Sarasota State Representative Ray Pilon and Broward State Representative George Moraitis.

“Richard DeNapoli’s experience in retirement security, financial planning, and Florida law make him well suited to protect Florida’s seniors and their issues in Tallahassee.  He’d make a great partner to work with in Tallahassee when it comes to protecting Sarasota County and its citizens,” Representative Pilon stated.

“Richard DeNapoli is a true conservative who Sarasota residents can count on to keep Florida on the road to economic prosperity.  He’s and intelligent, common-sense conservative who won’t back down from his principles,” Representative Moraitis added.

DeNapoli said, “To start this campaign with the support of Representatives Ray Pilon and George Moraitis is truly an honor.  Both are thoughtful leaders who do what’s right for their constituents and I look forward to their help and thank them for the early show of confidence in this campaign.”

A native of Florida, Richard DeNapoli is passionate about law, estate planning, financial planning, real estate and the relationships he has formed through helping others in these areas.

In addition to being a Licensed Attorney, Realtor, Mortgage Broker and Notary, Richard has also been successful in obtaining his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification. He worked as a Trust and Investment Officer for five years at Northern Trust on a team with $1.8 Billion assets under management providing services to high net worth individuals.

Richard DeNapoli is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law (2008, LL.M., Estate Planning), Fordham Law School (2002, J.D.) and New York University (1999, B.A., Politics; B.A. Italian). He is licensed to practice law in Florida and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. In 2007, Richard DeNapoli was appointed as a Commissioner to the Florida Real Estate Commission (“FREC”), and subsequently reappointed when that term was up. Both of his appointments to the FREC were confirmed by the Florida Senate.

He was unanimously elected to serve as the Chairman of the Florida Real Estate Commission from 2010-2011, and he continues to serve on the Commission today. Richard also served as the Treasurer of the Broward Republican Party in 2010, and then as Chairman of the Broward County Republican Party through December of 2012.  Recently, Richard has been focusing on his professional career and on his family. Richard is married to Brigita, and they welcomed a new addition to their family, Victor DeNapoli, who was born in August 2012.

Sharon Day, Co-Chairman

November 19, 2012

Dear Fellow BREC Members:

I wanted to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and heartfelt congratulations to our County Chairman Richard DeNapoli on his announcement regarding the new direction his career is taking him and his family.

Richard has always stood firmly rooted in the principles of our Party and has spent his term as Chairman rebuilding the party and raising the funds, both federal and state, with a commitment to Republican success, at the municipal, county, state and national level.  His dedication and energy on behalf of candidates will surely be missed.

Leadership means making difficult decisions and often taking all of the blame and little or none of the success.  Richard has led and has strived to make the Broward Republican Executive Committee an organization of pride and principles.

Please join me in wishing Richard his wife Brigita and their son Victor, the best of luck and God’s blessing as they move on to the next set of challenges life has to offer.

Sincerely,

 Sharon Day

Sharon

Petrocelli to Lead Broward Republicans

From BizPACReview.com …

Broward County Republicans put Rico Petrocelli in the top leadership position Monday night with a unanimous vote of support.

The new chairman of  the Broward County Republican Executive Committee will replace Richard DeNapoli, who announced last month he would follow a career opportunity in another part of the state. DeNapoli endorsed Petrocelli and a slate of three other candidates for board positions. They were all voted in by the REC members. In part of his written endorsement, DeNapoli said:

Many of our members do not realize what goes into running the Broward GOP.  From setting up our monthly meetings, booking the hotel, coordinating speakers, maintaining our headquarters, making sure various bills are paid, advertising the party events, meeting with candidates, sending out emails, speaking with our almost 400 members on a regular basis … Rico has the skills, talent and experience to keep our party running smoothly from day one.

We couldn’t have had our fundraising successes over the last two years without Rico Petrocelli.

A former Plantation city councilman, DeNapoli hired Petrocelli in 2010 as the county REC’s executive director, and according to the more than 250 Broward Republicans who supported his election as chairman, he has done a good job.

Petrocelli expected to  face challenger Karen Harrington, the former congressional candidate who announced her intention to run for county party chairwoman just after DeNapoli announced he wasn’t running for another term.

Harrington sent an email quitting the race just hours before Monday’s meeting, creating a stir in her absence. Read her email and the reaction to it at Karen Harrington embarrasses herself with another classless move.

Broward GOP Absentee Ballot Chase – Last Chance

ABSENTEE BALLOT CHASE CAMPAIGN

HELP US CONTACT VOTERS WITH AN ABSENTEE BALLOT THAT HAVE NOT YET RETURNED IT

ABSENTEE BALLOT DROP-OFF SITES LISTED BELOW

NOTICE:

Voted absentee ballots must be received (not just postmarked) by the Supervisor of Election’s office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 6th.  It costs $1.50 to mail your ballot.  You must sign the Absentee ballot envelope where indicated or your vote will not be counted!  We suggest you mail your ballot immediately to make sure that your vote is counted!

A VOTED BALLOT CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AT A POLLING PLACE ON ELECTION DAY OR AT AN EARLY VOTING SITE.  If you requested an absentee ballot and later decide to VOTE AT THE POLLS ON ELECTION DAY OR AT AN EARLY VOTING SITE (Early Voting Ends at Saturday, November 3rd at 7PM), take your absentee ballot with you to be “cancelled” at your polling place. After you “cancel” the absentee ballot, you can vote like everyone else at the poll or Early Voting Site.

Dear Broward Republicans,

We are in the final days of the campaign.  One of the best ways to increase Republican turnout is to contact Republican voters who have requested an absentee ballot but have not yet returned it.  A large amount of these absentee voters have a ballot in their possession but never actually vote their ballot.  It’s up to us to contact them to make sure they vote!  The Broward Republican Party has contacted these voters with robocalls, emails, and through the mail, but it’s far more likely that we will get these absentee voters to turn in their ballots when someone from their neighborhood contacts them via phone or in person by knocking on their door.
I have created a special website where you can get a spreadsheet of all the Republicans in Broward that have an absentee ballot but have not yet voted their absentee ballot.  It’s called goprichard.com.
DO YOUR BEST TO GET THESE VOTERS TO MAIL IN THEIR BALLOT BY TOMORROW, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd in order to ensure that the ballot gets to the Supervisor of Elections on Time.

The link to the spreadsheet is about half way down the page.  It’s in precinct order by household. Click on the link and you can download the spreadsheet and search for your precinct.  It’s a large file so please be patient.  If you have any questions, or need some help working with Microsoft Excel, just give me a call at 954-298-9121.

Please help us turn out the vote!

Onward to Victory!

Broward Republican Executive Committee

Richard DeNapoli Greets Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and Chairman Richard DeNapoli

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and Chairman Richard DeNapoli

This Saturday, I had the pleasure of welcoming Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal to the Grand Opening of the Coral Springs Romney Headquarters.

The Grand Opening was mentioned in www.browardbeat.com, with excerpts below.

I’ve gotten two e-mails from the Broward County Republican Party in the last week.

That’s two more than I got from the Broward County Democratic Party!

There is no doubt that Republican Chair Richard DeNapoli has modernized the way the GOP gets its message out.

DeNapoli wanted to inform me that Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana will open the Coral Springs Romney Headquarters on Saturday.  The even starts at 4:30 p.m. at 10200 West Sample Road.

I can’t believe Louisiana or a politician from that God Foresaken state has anything to teach us.  Maybe Jindal changed things…but somehow, I doubt it.

When I was young and using the ID press pass you see on this page, I was sent to Louisiana to cover the arrest of a teenager who had killed a number of people in Fort Lauderdale. I couldn’t wait to get out of that backwater, poverty-stricken place.

That aside, there is a point to be made here.

DeNapoli also uses e-mail and Facebook to troll regularly for volunteers to phone bank, walk door-to-door and work in offices.

The point I’m making is whoever runs the Broward Democratic Party needs to step up the Internet effort. On every platform available.

Broward GOP Successful at Getting Dead People Listed as “Active Voters” Removed from Broward Rolls

ICYMI:

BROWARD GOP SUCCESSFUL

AT GETTING DEAD PEOPLE LISTED AS “ACTIVE VOTERS”

REMOVED FROM BROWARD ROLLS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

July 11, 2012

Contact Richard DeNapoli, Chairman

954-298-9121

On May 21, 2012, the Broward Republican Executive Committee (“BREC”) issued a press release and supplied evidence to the media showing that deceased people from Broward County were still listed as “active” and “eligible to vote” voters on the Broward County rolls.  The evidence was provided to the Broward County Supervisor of Elections (“Broward SOE”), Dr. Brenda C. Snipes.  (Please see our original press releases and coverage below.)

Dr. Snipes informed the media (on May 21, 2012) that about 5,000 dead people had already been removed from the voter rolls, yet the hundreds that the BREC found still remained on the rolls. After the BREC received coverage in the local newspapers, CBS News 4 (Miami), and Fox News, the names of the dead yet still “active” voters that the BREC discovered were finally removed the weekend before our June BREC meeting.

Chairman DeNapoli announced the Broward GOP’s success at the June 25, 2012, BREC meeting.  You can watch the video by clicking below.

Memorial Day

Today we honor those men and women who have died while serving in the United States Armed Services.  Please see below for a Memorial Day message from State Representative George Moraitis as well as a video of President Reagan’s Remarks from May 28, 1984, at Memorial Day Ceremonies Honoring an Unknown Serviceman of the Vietnam Conflict.

God Bless America,

Richard DeNapoli, Chairman

Broward Republican Party

Moraitis

A Memorial Day Message from

State Representative George Moraitis

Dear Neighbors,

History tells us that Memorial Day was first known as Decoration Day. It was a day when the graves of soldiers who fell in America’s Civil War were decorated by family and friends wishing to honor and remember them. Today, Memorial Day is a time when we remember all from our nation’s past who have fallen while fighting for our freedom. We share stories of heroism and bravery with young and old, and in doing so we decorate the memories of our military’s fallen heroes.

Please join me in saluting these men and women who have laid their lives down in defending our sacred freedoms. Let us each take time this Memorial Day not just to enjoy a day off work, but rather let us take the time to decorate the memories of those who, in the words of President Lincoln, have given “the last full measure of devotion.”

May God continue to bless this great nation of ours as we honor those who have fallen in service to our country.

Sincerely,

George Moraitis

State Representative

“FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Can you be in the grave, but still have a pulse to vote? The answer is yes, in South Florida.

Using a new data base, the Florida Department of State found nearly 52,000 dead people still listed as active voters. So far, Broward has pulled out 4,482 names of dead voters from the rolls; Miami-Dade has dropped 4,860 dead voters from the rolls, according to Chris Cate, the Communications director at the Florida Department of State.

“Obviously it’s absurd, but how do you police it, I don’t know,” wondered voter Augi Moran. Read more
